Ella Guru

Ella Guru (born May 24, 1966) is an American painter and musician living in London, United Kingdom. She was a member of Mambo Taxi and the Voodoo Queens. In 1999, she became one of the founding members of the Stuckist art movement.
==Early life and education==
Guru was born in the U.S. state of Ohio.〔Buckman, David (2006), ''Dictionary of Artists in Britain since 1945'', p.653, Art Dictionaries, Bristol, 2006, ISBN 0-9532609-5-X〕 She did a commercial art course at Fort Hayes Career Center (1982–84) and attended Columbus College of Art and Design (1984–86), which she left because of "all the conceptual crap".〔Milner, Frank ed.
